Aum watch the mind, see that it is a flow, flow of thoughts, emotions, ideas and concepts. As this flow continues, it produces a world picture and also produces a person in that world. Should I oppose that flow? Not needed, allow the flow but I step back. Instead of trying to suppress the flow, I step back and watch the flow. As I do so, I get a command on the flow. In a way, I can on or off the flow. The mind is ever ready to do. It pushes the organs into movement, into doing. And also the mind imagines all kinds of goals and tries to work for those goals. Now, I tell the mind, nothing to do, neither selfish nor selfless work, just be quiet, Chup. O mind! No goals to be achieved, neither goals of this world nor of the other world, just be quiet, Chup. No work, no goals, Chup. No plans even. Drop plans, Chup. O mind! Don’t expect anything. Chup. You are just watching the silent mind with an occasional command, Chup! No anticipation, Chup. Ignore any sounds, Chup. By commanding the mind, keep the smile on the lips, keep firm alertness by stretching the back upwards and fixing the legs on the ground, keep hands and shoulders loose, and command, O mind! Don’t you anticipate anything, Chup. Tell the mind don’t wait for anything, just be quiet, Chup. Having thus addressed the outer, come to the inner, O mind! There is nothing about the world, Chup. The world is unreal, nothing worth thinking about, Chup. Nothing to think about what all I felt is not real myself. Myself I be, not think. Stop thinking about the person and be quiet. Chup. Finally come to god, Ishwara. Silence of the mind is the supreme prayer. The supreme spiritual practice. Therefore O mind, Chup. Ishwara is unknown, unknowable, unthinkable, therefore, stop thinking about Ishwara, Chup. Silence is the best prayer. The prayer is required only when you can’t be silent. Therefore, Chup. When a thought is intervenes and disturbs the silence don’t condemn. Allow the thought to go away, don’t give attention, it goes away, say Chup! Thought does not come it goes. Let it go. Chup. Everything happens by Ishwara’s will. Even a thought happens by Ishwara’s will. There is nothing to do about it . Just be quiet. Chup. Whatever thoughts happen I surrender these thoughts to Ishwara. Chup. Finally do not seek any reward from meditation. Chup. Aum shanti shanti shanith. Relax. Sit at ease and relax. Chup can be used as a mantra like a magic wand. It has great power over the mind. Slowly open the eyes.
