Aum Look at the mind and allow the mind to drop the entire past, meaning, I suspend the operation of the memory for the time being. Again, look at the mind and allow it to drop the imagination of the future. What remains? The present, the real present, not the present which mind conceives, the present that is timeless and that present no different from presence, the being which is myself. I am the presence timeless. Time is bondage, whereas timelessness, the timeless pure I am, is freedom. Freedom is love and beauty. Now prayer Aum thrice. Aum one.. Aum two.. Aum merge. Now listen to the sounds around you, the sounds nearby, listen with full attention. How is that? Full attention means as you listen to the sound, you do not name it, no label, saying it it’s a good sound, don’t resist saying it’s a disturbance, that is full attention, now listen. As you listen with the full attention, the subject-object split vanishes, you try. Just try without resisting. As you listen with full attention, there is no subject-object, and also you become silent within, that is the power of attention, like a solvent dissolves a substance, attention dissolves division. Listen with full attention the sounds which are far, whatever that means. Don’t rationalize too much, that is the mind, you drop the mind, pay full attention and listen to the sounds, if any, that are far. You should find the same effect. Now listen to the sounds near and far, all the sounds with total attention. Complete silence within while listening to the sounds with total attention that is meditation, listen. Now, listen to the silence which is the background of all sounds. Do it, don’t ask how. Pay attention to the silence. Silence in the background of sounds. Silence between sounds and silence behind the sounds and discover the same silence inside you. Look within and find the same silence. Inner silence is the supreme spiritual sadhana. In that silence, you grow into peace and wisdom. Inner silence is the fullness to the brim. Merge in that inner silence. Don’t allow it to be disturbed by a thought. Don’t be attached to the thought, thought is a disturbance and it is not real, become silent within. Don’t enjoy that silence, that creates a division and otherness, just merge in the silence and let be. It is not my silence, it is the silence in which there is no me and mine. That silence, inner silence is god. Mauna vyakhya prakatita para brahma tattvam, silence. Go deep. Aum shanti shanti shantiH. Relax, sit at ease. Try to find a foothold in that inner silence simply by avoiding thoughts and speech, only two things to avoid. First, easy to avoid speech, then gradually avoidance of thought becomes easy. Relax Slowly open the eyes. Aum
