Aum Watch the mind. Try, try to watch the mind. What is mind? Mind is its content, the content as known and unknown, that’s it. The mind is divided into the opposites, known and unknown, the fundamental pair of opposites, that is the mind. It may be further divided as likes, dislikes etc. but fundamentally mind consists of the known and the unknown. Now, look at the brain, the brain cells, they consists of the known and the unknown, that is the activity of the brain. Bring out the known, the entire known. There is no how, just do it, the known and reject it. Become free by rejecting the known. Now, bring out the unknown, like many things unknown, bring out and reject, become free. Thus, become free from the known as well as the unknown. The burden is gone. Now, descend into the heart and just be, center of the heart, Be. Being is love. By loving the Being, you develop the love of the Being because Being is love. Love is simple, free from nama-roopa. In love, there is no names and forms. Love is beyond language. Love is known even to birds and animals, it has no language, but love has an expression and that is Aum, that is love. Aum is love. Love is Aum. That is the prayer of prayers, thrice, now. Aum..Aum..Aum.. Merge. Just Be. Be aware of the body. Sthira sukham asanam. Begin by stretching the back upwards while pressing the legs to the floor, sport a smile. Tell yourself I give up attachment to work, karma. What needs to be done gets done, but attachment to work, that I need to do something, I try to give it up, that helps the shoulders and hands to relax. Also , the muscles of the stomach relax, the chest. The smile helps to relax the face and the brain. Now, watch the eyes, squeeze the eyes one time and then keep the eyes lightly closed without pressing the eyelids down. As you keep the back upright and watch the eyes partly closed, the mind becomes silent and awareness deepens; meaning you become deeply awareful without being aware of anything in particular, what is called jnananishtha, jnana is awareness. Distraction should not happen, if it happens, no problem, do not identify with the thought that comes, allow it to go, it goes, with a smile, watch the eyes. Never be annoyed by distraction. A distraction is only a distraction, nothing more, treat it as such and return to the focus on the eyes and remain awareful. Now, further focus on the irises, the eyeballs, keep them in the center. They are in the center, doesn’t matter, keep them in the center and keep them fixed in the center. There can be a little movement of the eyelids which is normal but not the irises. As long as you keep the irises fixed in the center, mind remains silent and you are deeply awareful. This is the first version of shambhavi mudra. Avoid distraction by focusing on the irises, fixed in the center of the eyes. Keep the smile. Now, focus the eyesight of both eyes in the center of the eyebrows. Focus both eyes which simply mean you focus between the eyebrows. Focus the sight of both eyes, just do it, there is no how, between the center of the eyebrows. Try. That deepens the awareness. Move a little, not much, sit relaxed. Do not rush into thoughts. Remain awareful. Now, be aware of the surroundings and slowly open the eyes. Aum
