Aum Watch the mind. There is a need for transformation in the mind, you see that. It means the way I feel and think should change. How? Certainly not by getting worked about it. The transformation happens all by itself when I step back and be aware of the mind. Very simple. Simply by watching the mind, its movements, its attachments, its aversions, its desires and fears, watching without condemnation, also without identification, justification. Just watching with a smile as an uninvolved witness, that transforms the mind. That’s the secret. Watch the mind. Try, try to watch the mind. Learn to step back and watch. At all times, learn to step back and watch. That is meditation. Awareness of the mind is meditation. Allow the mind to drop its entire content, its movement, that leads myself as pure I Am. The pure I amness comes into focus only when the mind is quiet, see that. Otherwise, I am lost in the flow of thoughts, see that. Now, as the mind is quiet, I am. This state of thoughtlessness in which I am in the focus, which means I abide peacefully in myself as myself, is the best way to purify the mind. I am. You have to put in alertness and cheerfulness into this abidance as myself. Otherwise, you are likely to become sleepy and or grim. Again, that is very simple. As you press the legs down, stretch the back up. From now on, do not move, remain still. Allow the shoulders and hands to relax by keeping them loosely. Give an auto suggestion to the muscles of the stomach to relax, just do it. The system is accustomed to stress, you have to teach it to relax. Relax the chest, but keep the back upright, sport a smile, the face relaxes and the brain relaxes. All this appears as preparation but then it is very much a part of meditation. Now, be aware of the hands, they are kept loosely. Are the hands ready for work? If so, there is nothing to do, drop all plans, just be in the present unsullied by the future. Very simple, don’t wait, drop the plans, that’s it. Now, hands relaxed well, keep the palms upwards, may be they are already like that. Keep the palms or hands forward to give balance to this posture. The right hand is in the left and the thumbs touch. This is called maha-mudra. Not just the hands, the entire posture together with acceptance, that is maha-mudra. I continue to focus on the hands, resemble a lotus, I accept the environs, like heat or cold or even sounds, near and far, I simply accept. See this, when you resist anything, a sound, a temperature, or whatever, you mentally resist, your mind becomes excited and active. In contrast, as I accept the environs totally, without any labeling or judgement, I accept, see the mind becomes quiet at once and there is harmony. Visualise the immediate family members, one, two, three like that, specifically not in general but specifically, I accept them as they are. Now, that could be difficult, but you try, you try. I try to accept them as they are. They are sometimes nice, sometimes abrasive, nasty even, could be but I accept all of that. Quite often they are selfish, obvious, I understand. People are so and I accept. That slowly brings harmony in the relationships, one has to work on it. Visualize the society, it is peaceful and also violent at the same time. There is dharma and also adharma in the society all at the same time. All that I accept. This should be easy unless you are an ideolog, accept that and try to see harmony and freedom. Visualize the weather and accept it as it is and there is freedom in that acceptance. Nice. Harmony is always very nice. Be aware of the mudra, the lotus like maha-mudra, remain alert, if need be stretch upwards. Of course, remain still, don’t move, and be aware of the body. Don’t judge the body, avoid judgement, it is neither good nor bad, neither beautiful nor ugly, neither sick nor healthy, neither young nor old. Every one of them is the projection of the mind. Be aware of the body as it is. It is what it is. And I accept. Try. Of course, what needs to be done to the body like cleaning, feeding, clothing, all that happens. The natural things happen naturally. The point is I accept it. Not resist mentally. In a very positive sense I accept it. I take an important step forward and accept the body with a smile. Sometimes becomes difficult but try, trying is the all important thing. I try to accept the body as it is. That is harmony, freedom and peace. Aum shanti shanti shantiH. Relax, sit at ease and take harmony as a mantra. That makes the mind silent. Relax. Slowly open the eyes. Aum
