Aum. Look at your mind, don’t ask how, just do it, there is no how. You try, try that is the most important word, try. Try to look at the mind. Take this message; one, looking at the mind is meditation, try. You notice when you are looking at the mind, you are not looking at any other thing of this world, very simple, that is meditation, try. That is the first part of the message, try to look at the mind. Second; life is a desert without meditation, meditation is a wellspring of life. Try to look at the mind. Don’t say my mind, can you do that? Can you look at the mind as this mind? A challenge, this mind. Visualize yourself standing on the bank of the river and watching a river flow. The river flowing swiftly. Now, the mind is the river, I stand apart and watch the mind. While watching the mind, avoid any judgement, don’t judge. A mind is what it is, neither good not bad. Stand apart and watch the mind. Mind is a flow, a flow of thoughts, but as you try to watch the mind, you may not find any thoughts. That is already a power of watching. Don’t ask what is there to watch? Continue to watch, watch the mind. The mind has a lot of content ever flowing. Watch the mind. Mind has a lot of listless or endless thinking or thoughts. I watch the mind. Do that, as you do that, you are looking at yourself, you are looking at the mind which is taken as yourself. It’s a big thing, don’t be skeptical about it, just do it. Watch the mind, it has a lot of listless thinking. Don’t condemn a mind for its listless thinking, just watch. Don’t even justify, just watch. I watch this mind. As you watch the mind, the brain becomes extra ordinarily silent. This silence is not like a sleep. This silence of the brain is like a dynamo, a big dynamo which has immense power. Watch the mind. The dynamo is silent unless it is malfunctioning. As you watch the mind, the brain cells become silent. The brain remains like a dynamo. Watch the mind. This mind has quite a few vasanas, deep impressions that dictate the life, the living. In a way, the living becomes a slave to the vasanas of the mind. AGain, don’t condemn, don’t justify, just watch the mind. Pick up one vasana, say talkativeness, this vasana in the mind. It is the pressure to talk, it is there in the mind. It doesn’t matter if one is a family person or a sannyasi, this vasana is there, talkativeness. Don’t condemn it, don’t justify, just watch. You know better about this vasana, how much is there, you know better, just watch it. Pick up another vasana, be honest, jealousy arising from comparison. Compare and become jealous, you see that vasana in the mind. Don’t say I should become free from jealousy, that becomes a conflict, don’t say that, just watch it. Also, don’t protest, no no I don’t have jealousy, don’t protest, be honest. Notice the jealousy in you, this is a vasana in this mind. Watch the mind. Don’t become sleepy, if you notice some dullness, stretch the back well upwards, that makes you very alert and then watch the mind for its vasanas. The mind is a flow, a flow of thoughts, emotions and ideas. This is the content of the mind. As I watch the mind, there is a silence, kshamata, silence. In that silence I abide in myself. Abide peacefully in yourself, just be yourself. Don’t be this and that, don’t put on any title for yourself, every single title that you assume is a superimposition. Just be yourself. Very simple, you need not scale a mountain, just be yourself. Abide peacefully in yourself as yourself, nothing less, nothing more, just yourself. A simple prayer which consists of inhaling deeply followed by exhaling slowly by chanting mentally, not verbally, the sacred sound Aum. Then merge in silence, that is one round of prayer, three such rounds, now. Aum one… Aum two… Aum. Aum shanti shanti shantiH. Relax, keep the eyes closed and sit at ease. You may even move a little and relax. Watching the mind is a powerful state of awareness and hence relax. Relax. Slowly open the eyes. Aum.
