The question could not have an answer without the past. Who am I? Again, look at the mind and allow the mind to drop the imagination of the future. Something like I am without the future. I am but no future. No past no future yet I am. Whatever I am, I Am. I Am what I am. Single and simple. Simple and single I Am. I Be. I love to be. Aum is a prayer of love, thrice now. Aum...Aum...Aum... Merge. Now Sthira Sukham Asanam. Begin with sthira, come to sukham. Sport a smile on the lips. Squeeze the eyes one time and keep them lightly closed that focuses the attention very well. Recognize the brain cell as the locus of me and mine, the habit of the brain cells to think in terms of me and mine. Ego is the contribution of the brain. Now I allow the mind to evaporate upwards, the me to evaporate. Just Be. Come down from the brain to the center of the eyebrows, the neck and the heart and abide as I Am. I am aware of nothing in particular, I am same as I am aware. Be aware of the surroundings without any judgment. Easy without any judgment, easy without any choice. Just be aware. Look that when you are aware without any judgment, without any choice, you are silent within, note that. Be aware of the surroundings. Sometimes mere name could become a judgment. Be aware. See the beauty of awareness. No choice, no judgment, just being aware of the surroundings. As long as you are aware thus, you remain silent within. Be aware of the body, neither good nor bad, just the body. Neither young nor old, neither sick nor healthy, just the body. Note that passive awareness, choiceless awareness is freedom. Freedom from ? projections of the mind, note that. Be aware of the body. Be aware of the body without attaching a word, no description, just be aware. Awareness without language. Be aware of the breath, don't control the breath, leave it as it is, neither good not bad. Be careful not to identify. Now be aware of the thoughts, there are no thoughts, be aware. Bring out one emotion in the form of emotional attachment, pick up one, very specifically pick up one emotional attachment and be aware of that attachment. This could be little more difficult, try.
