Aum. Approach meditation always with the freshness of present moment, not as something which is done again. Don't ask how, just see the difference, suspend the memory, connect yourself to the present moment now, that's all. Look at the body, it has its urges and also complaints. Look at the mind, it has its pleasures and pain and now take a deep breath twice and even while doing so, rise above the multiple concerns of the body and the mind. Now, one, two, I Am. I Am the pure Being, shining as the Knowing. The divine elements of freedom and love is already experienced as pure I Am because the simple I Am, the single I Am is the Being that is freedom and hence love and the prayer that emerges from such pure I Am is also simple, free from the complexities of the mind, simple, simple Aum and also single. Single Aum, the sacred sound Aum, thrice now. Aum...Aum...Aum...merge in the silence. Now Sthira Sukham Asanama. Look at the body, this body, the abode of Ishwara, this body, living in the world of names and forms but certainly is the abode of Ishwara. Be aware of the legs which have the potential to walk, already walked thousands of miles, have a lot more walking in them. This potential of the legs, does it belong to the person, to the world in me? Did I create it, I the person, create this potential? The answer is obvious no. Like the shadow signifies the individual, the shadow visible signifies the person invisible behind the wall. Similarly this potential in the legs which I feel now, this life in the legs, which I directly feel, signifies the Presence of the higher power called Ishwara. The life in the legs is directly experienced but its significance is Ishwara, can only be communed, merged with. Be aware of the hands which have the power, the potential to hold tense, the amazing power or potential. I can feel the power of life in the hands, limited to the holding, limited to hands. When I see this power is not created by me, the small self, it is given to me then it becomes very significant this power, very significant, signifying the higher power called Ishwara. The direct experience of power in the hands helps the bhavana meaning feeling the Presence of Ishwara. This bhavana brings Ishwara very close, not something far off any more, makes Ishwara more real than the mere concept, impact ? takes my existence closer to Ishwara. Be aware of the throat, voice box and the apparatus of speech, the tongue, jaw, palate, teeth and gums, the lips and the nose, this apparatus called mukham, has a great power, potential, amazing power, already spoken millions of words and yet speak many more words. There is a power that drives this apparatus, a power that drives this machine of speech. Is it the power of egoic self? Certainly not. This power, true, limited to this apparatus and I understand as signifying Ishwara, appears unbelievable because the mind is accustomed to keep Ishwara away. This bhavana is so out of the ordinary that it is unbelievable. I wonder at the closeness of Ishwara, truly this body-mind is the abode of Ishwara. Aum Shanti Shanti ShantiH. Relax. Slowly open the eyes. Aum.
