Aum. Take a deep breath thrice, in doing so I raise above the concerns of the body and the mind and I abide as myself, not the self created by the mind, the person created by the mind with all its wants and fears but as simply myself. I abide as myself, at peace, as myself cheerful naturally, myself cheerful not for a reason but naturally, I Am. Out of the peaceful and cheerful myself comes the simple prayer in the form of Aum with the out going breath thrice, now. Aum...Aum...Aum...Merge in the silence. Now Sthira Sukham Asanam. Be aware of the posture, beginning with the legs fixed on the ground, make the posture alertful by stretching the back upwards and now keep the posture still by ignoring any urge to move that is Sthira. Just be aware of the surrounding by accepting the surroundings. Don't try to know the surroundings, just accept as they are and focus on the posture which is Sthira means still. And now Sukham, the shoulders and hands are kept loosely, allow the tummy to relax by giving an auto suggestion by saying relax. Focus on the tummy, the muscles of the stomach, they could be tight because of the unconscious insecurity and stress. give the auto suggestion to relax, same with the chest to relax. Approach the posture not from the memory of earlier experience but from the freshness of the present moment now. Recollect the imperceptible smile on the face of the meditating Buddha and sport a smile on the lips that relaxes the face and the eyes. Look at the brain that holds onto the sense of mine and me meditatously ? and now allow the sense of mine and me to evaporate upwards and then come down from the brain into the heart and abide in yourself peacefully. I abide peacefully in myself, myself, simple, simple without the complexity of the myself, simple. Simply and peacefully abiding as myself is meditation. I meditate meaning I abide simply and peacefully in myself. When the mind is interested in other things, it is as though I am not myself. Now as I abide peacefully I am myself. Very simple, just be yourself. Don't be this or that, just be yourself. Visualize a tree standing tall with the roots fixed in the ground but the branches touching heavens. The tree is silently meditating, the tree is a link between Earth and heaven. Now I am the tree, the meditating tree. The bones and the flesh of the body are fixed to the ground by their inert mass, whereas I, the Awareness, the Knowingness, touch the heavens. As I meditate, meaning as I abide peacefully in myself, I am the link between Earth and heaven, the link between the body and the divinity. I am the meditating tree, the body is still, the mind silent and I am myself. I abide peacefully in myself. I am. Do not allow yourself to be distracted, if distracted be alert, end distraction and abide in heart peacefully as I Am. Aum Shanti Shanti ShantiH. Relax, though you may move a little yet continue to abide peacefully, don't be in a rush to come out I Am. Slowly open the eyes. Aum.
