AUM Shree Ganeshay NamaH. Before prayer I drop the entire baggage of the mind. All anxieties, all worries, all expectations etc. and become spacelike. Then I visualise Ishwara, the power of life and the power of consciouness, abiding in every heart, the heart of a man or a woman, of an animal or a bird, of every creature and I see or relate to the same Ishwara, the power of life and consciousness in my heart. I surrender my cares and worries, anxieties and fears to that prime mover. Shree Gurubhyo NamaH. I am ever greatful to the saints and sages of the world. Sthira sukhamasanam, check the posture, keep the back straight. Now having fixed the posture, I won't change it. If I feel the need to change, and then change it, again within a short time, there will be a need to change. However painful it may be I just remain in this posture, sthira. I am aware of the mahamudra and try to look at life through the vision of acceptance. Life remains the same, natural things get done naturally but I approach life with the spirit of acceptance. Accept the society, the community, the family and myself. In myself I accept pleasures and pains the economy (8.10) ?, and also accept health and illness alike and also accept cheerful and sorrowful states of mind. Be aware of the posture from within. The back is straight but the shoulders are relaxed, symbolising passive alertness. Sport a smile on the lips and notice the effect of smile, it relaxes the face deeply and enthuses the mind for no reason. That I need reason to be cheerful is bondage, is misery. Watch the eyes, netra dhyanam, also called awareness meditation. Keep the eyelids lightly closed, any tiny movement of eyelashes is not unusual. As long as you watch the eyes, the mind remains silent. Do not allow yourself to be distracted, slowly take things in your hand, slowly, maturely take the body and mind in your command. Watch the eyes, remain silent. Do not get bored by silence. Mind wants variety and content, that is the vasana of the mind. Do not allow that vasana to prevail. Watch the eyes and remain silent. Do not wait for anything, waiting is also a vasana of the mind. Do not wait even for my voice. Keep the smile, watch the eyes and remain silent. Now keep the irises in the center of the eyes, take your time, slowly get hold of the irises. Keep them in the center of the eyes without any movement. The awareness deepens, keep the irises without movement in the center of the eyes. Don't say they are already there, just do it. Don't say they are not moving, keep them without moving. Do not become grim, keep the smile. Also keep the back stretched. As long as you keep the irises in the center without movement, the mind remains silent. As the mind is silent, you grow in inner awareness that is same as watchfulness. Now while keeping the eyes closed, keeping the irises in the center without movement, focus both eyes between the eyebrows. Take your time. Focus both eyes between the eyebrows. Keep the smile, don't move the head. Focus between the eyebrows and remain focused. Shivoham ...You focus between the eyebrows, Shivoham...Shivoham. Aum ShantiH ShantiH ShantiH. Relax, sit at ease, continue to be awareful. Do not start the thought process right away. Awareful is a dimension beyond thought process, become familiar with it. Slowly open the eyes.
