AUM Shree Ganeshay NamaH .  I pray lord Ganesha with devotion. I may not do a very large prayer, a lot of prayers, whatever little I pray, I do with the intent, I mean what I say, not just muttering the words, I try to mean what I say, only then there will be transformations. Again Shree Ganeshay NamaH Shree Gurubhyo NamaH You watch the mind. What is mind ? It is a flow, a river of thoughts, mostly I am flowing along the river of thoughts. I now step ashore, in fact, I can step ashore any time and watch the flow. As I do that, the awareness of Being comes into focus. Suppose I think, I sit and think continuously about various things that I am connected to, I sit and think about them, or while walking I am thinking about all those things, about my people, about my   possessions, about my activities. That kind of thinking, is it any different from dreaming ? Suppose I become alert and stop flowling with the thoughts, just watch the thoughts without condemnation. The awareness of the Being comes into focus. This is the way to cultivate the inner silence. Everytime the mind starts running, instead of running behind the running mind, instead of running with the running mind, I step ashore and watch the mind. In doing so the awareness of Being comes into its own. The dreaming ends and the inner silence deepens. Do not try to understand the silence that is again the mental process, just Be the silence. Do not ask what is the use of silence, that is the worldly mind, ignorant and be the silence. Do not become sleepy, remain alert, be the alertful silence. Do not look for any reward for being silent, you don't need a reward, see the fullness of being silent. Seeking rewards, like expecting gifts from others, is inner poverty, that is the mind, leave it alone and be the fullness of silence. See that the silence is infinitely more profound than thinking and speaking. See that thinking and speaking are very superficial, whereas silence reveals the depth and expansivity of the inner Being. Aum The truth of Aum is silence.   Aum  ShantiH ShantiH ShantiH. Relax, sit at ease. Slowly open the eyes.
