AUM Shree Ganeshay NamaH Shree Gurubhyo NamaH Sthira sukhamasanam. Be aware of the mahamudra which signifies acceptance, receiving life on its terms without mental resistance. Receiving life, meaning the events of life, the content of life, without any judgement, without any conceptual labeling as good or bad, as favourable-unfavourable etc.. It's a challenge, you try, receiving life in its entirety is a gift from Ishwara, which means dukha is as much a gift as sukha, failure is as much a gift as success because failure and success are conceptual lables. I accept life as a gift from Ishwara. Be aware of the smile on the lips, the smile of a heart which is at peace. The smile not caused by outer causes but coming from within, from the inner silence. It is not the smile of a mind which is happy, which is fulfilled, that smile disappears soon. This is the smile of the inner silence. Be aware of the eyes, which are of course softly closed. When I am aware of the eyes, I am fully present. It is not the awareness of the eyes seeing a form, it is the awareness of the eyes which have no form, which are not seeing a form. When I withdraw from the form, my own presence comes into focus. Obviously the presence has no shape. Watch the body, entire posture, feel the presence, feel the presence in the posture. Don't ask how, just feel the presence. The body has a shape but the presence has no shape. Visualize the presence of the seat, of course through the sense of touch. Visualize the presence of prithivi, the earth, the seat, the floor, finally the earth. Now what is earth ? Is it a name and form ? Or is it the presence ? It is the presence. Take this challenge, name and form are mental concepts, only presence is real. Consider this challenge while visualizing earth as presence. The name earth is associated with a mental idea of form but essentially what you call earth is a presence. Be aware of the space around you, the space that contains the body, the space of the hall, lecture hall, the space of the open skies. Visualize the endless space as well as you can, endless space before me, behind me, to the right, endless space, to the left, above and below. I suggest space is a name associated with a mental form, not a physical form, essentially it is the presence. All space is essentially presence, all is presence which includes the presence I am, all is presence and that presence is Shree Krishna. Feel the presence in what you taste, what you hear, what you see, what you smell and what you touch. And know that, that presence is Shree Krishna, mama param bhavam. Aum ShantiH ShantiH ShantiH. Relax, sit at ease. Try to feel your own presence instead of thinking non-stop all the time. Slowly open the eyes.
