Meditation 7 – Now
ॐ।श्रीगणेशायनमः।श्रीगुरुभ्योनमः॥
Watch the mind. Concentrating the mind on a given form or even sound is an effort, because you have to exclude everything else. Whereas watching the mind, is effortless because there is no agenda. Always agenda entails effort, whereas effortless watching is the sure way to my SVARUPA -- my own inner being. Watch the mind. Suppose you reject the entire past from the mind. And also reject the imagination of the future, then there is no mind any more. There is only the now. The now. Now. Now. Suppose you reject all the known from the mind. I reject all that is known to me from the mind. Just do it, do not ask how. There is now how. But there is a lot unknown to me, that is also the mind. I reject all that is unknown to me. There is no more the mind. But the watchfulness is. Mind is a collection of ideas about the known and the unknown. Many things are known to me, many more things are unknown to me. Once again I reject the known and also the unknown. Then there is no mind which means there are no thoughts, there are no ideas left. But I am. I am. Now. Now.
What is now, explore. Now is the being. The sense of being. The aware-full being, which is myself. I am – the present. I am – the now. I am. As I dwell on the past, the reality of I am is covered up. I can see that. I am. When I imagine the future, try to guess the future, it only serves to cover up the reality of – I am. I am. What is the past or the future, nothing but the movement of mind. Do you see any connection between the past, memory and the reality of I am? There is no connection, except for the mind made connection. I am. I am the present, untouched by the past and the future. Past and future are the mind, whereas I am prior to the mind. I am timelessly in the present. I am the timeless present. I am the timeless now. I am the timeless aware-full being. Just be. Do not look forward to anything, just be. Do not wait for anything – Just be. Do not allow yourself to be distracted, if you notice a distraction say to yourself – I am. And just be. Do not get bored by the peace of the being. Just be. Say to yourself, I love to be. I love to be. The truth is – Being is love. Being is love. ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ।
Relax, sit at ease. Keep the eyes closed. I love to be. Slowly open the eyes.
