AUM Shree Ganeshay NamaH I pray to lord Ganesha with devotion and a sense of surrender and with the blessing of lord Ganesha, I drop, I dispel the worldliness from the mind, in the form of kartuttva, doership and with an idea of becoming something of the world and I drop bhoktruttva, the sense that I should enjoy certain things of the world. Then I dispel the kalavasana by dropping the past, just simply drop the past and then drop all ideas of the future. I am not historic and I am not a process, simply I Am. I am now in the present timelessly, I Am. Shree Gurubhyo NamaH Sthira sukhamasanam. Sport a smile, close the eyes lightly, see that they are closed lightly. Notice that watching the eyes with a smile on the lips is deep silence in itself. No action in the body, no action in the mind, it is just pure Being, pure impersonal Being. The person arises from the movement of the mind, when the mind is silent it is just pure impersonal Being. Be aware of the mahamudra, I am receiving the abundant grace of Ishwara, dhanyoham. It negates the self hypnosis that I am unfortunate or unhappy etc. dhanyoham, I am indeed blessed. Watch the breath, do not regulate the breath, just watch it, using the subtle sense of touch at the tip of the nose. Keep alert, don't become drowsy or sleepy, just be alert and watch the breath. Mentally say in and out. While inhaling there is a subtle self consciousness which is absent while exhaling, see whether you can notice it. It is as if you are personal in inhaling while impersonal in exhaling, just watch it, explore it. There is a small ego while inhaling, where as in exhaling it is not. In that sense inhaling is life and exhaling is death, watch them as life and death of the ego, not you. I watch life and death and I am above life and death. Life and death are always together, they are egoic state and they do not belong to you. Drop the in and out and just watch the breath. Take the precaution not to become sleepy, stop watching the breath slowly and just Be as I am in the heart. I Am and I watch the mind. Watching the mind is nothing but seeing whether there are any thoughts around. Interestingly when you do that, you don't find any thoughts, possible. Remember the cat waiting for the mouse to come out of the hole with total intensity. Now you are like that cat, looking for a thought to come out, just waiting for a thought to emerge. Interestingly as long as you are fully alert, you remain thoughtless. Keep the smile on the lips. Now become normal, reduce the alertness, just Be. Give a command to the mind chup. Repeat the command when needed chup and just Be. Up to that you go, then atma will take you over, just Be, but take the precaution not to fall asleep. Falling asleep means the tamas taking over, remaining alert, just Be, atma takes over, chup. If you find mind not obliging you, possible, just surrender the mind, it starts in yourself and the sadhana to Ishwara, I surrender and become chup. Aum ShantiH ShantiH ShantiH. Relax, sit at ease, massage the legs if necessary, keep the eyes closed. Understand you are the atman, now and here not in the future. You are not the person you imagine yourself to be, you are the atman, the impersonal Being. Slowly open the eyes.
