AUM Shree Ganeshay NamaH Prayer is always fresh, in the present moment, not from memory of earlier experience. Devotion is ever sweet. I pray to Ishwara in order to be able to give up, not to hold but just to give up the worldliness, not the world, the worldliness, expressing in the life as doership and enjoyership, cognatively become free of the world. Then I give up historicity, personality created by the time, the past and give up all expectation and anticipation of the future. I am like open space not cluttered space, cluttered with memories and worrries. I Am, nor this not that just I Am. Shree Gurubhyo NamaH Sthira sukhamasanam. Sport a smile, keep the eyes lightly closed. Be aware of the mahamudra, the grace of Ishwara showers upon me, dhanyoham. The present moment is filled with the grace of Ishwara, dhanyoham. Be aware of the body, this body. Visualize the body as a skeleton, which it is, this skeleton, idam shariram, this body, to be managed but not to be identified with, this body. I am the knower of the body, I am aware of the body, this body, kshetragnyoham, I am aware of the body. Watch the breath, just to the sense of touch at the tip of the nose. Unless the mind is very focused, that sense of touch cannot be appreciated, it it subtler than the feather touch. Compare with the touch of the clothes, it is very very subtle. Now come even subtler awareness, be aware of the mind. The question comes, how? Just try. See whether you find any thought around. Think of a cat ready to pounce upon a mouse if it comes out of the hole and now be like that cat, ready to notice if a thought comes. Thought comes I will see it, hmn, no thought, just wait. Thought comes I will see it. This helps to gain viveka, discrimination to the mind. As long as you maintain that degree of alertness, there will be no thought. Now just don't be like the cat, just be normal and watch the mind. Command the mind chup, chup, chup. In case any thought comes, be indifferent to the thought, don't welcome it, just be indifferent. Indifference requires lot of practise, just try. Don't be surprised if there are no thoughts at all. Chup. In case you feel the mind doesn't obliged you, you assume that the mind is not obliging you, now I surrender the thoughts and myself to Ishwara. Having surrendered, there is nothing more to do, chup. From now on look at the thought as not thought comes but as thought goes. Desire does not come it goes unless you hold on to it. I surrender the thoughts and myself to Ishwara. Having surrendered, chup. Aum ShantIH ShantiH ShantiH. Relax, sit at ease, relax. Slowly open the eyes.
