AUM Shree Ganeshay NamaH Shree Gurubhyo NamaH Sthira sukhamasanam The posture is firm yet relaxed, not loose not tight. It is firm and relaxed. Sport a smile, watch the eyes. Do not wait for anything, just negate the tendancy of the mind, wait for something. Waiting is refusing to be in the present, just watch the eyes. Be aware of the hands, mahamudra. Be in the present, not from the memory of earlier experience, just in a present, hands in the mahamudra. Dhanyoham. It is the mind which makes us constantly believe that I am in trouble something or the other. Most of the trouble is the product of thought, the emotional distress is entirely needless, just be aware of the mahamudra. Drop the ideas of bad luck, suffering and all that, try to see that there is no suffering other than that created by the mind. There is life, there is the Being, there is the awareness, that is the gift of God, dhanyoham. I am the life, I am the Being, dhanyoham, I am blessed. Watch the body, idam shariram, this body, this body. Watch the breath, do not exercise your will in breathing, just allow it to happen. Don't judge it as shallow or anything, just watch. It is smoothly going in and out, occassionly it may become deep and again comes back to normal, just allow all that. Stay with the sense of touch at the tip of the nose, don't follow the course of breath, just watch it. Watching the breath keeps the mind firmly rooted to the present. As long as I watch the breath, there is no past or future, there is only present, that is a great blessing. That goes to prove that there are no problems and issues in the present moment. Introduce in and out mentally, watch in and out. That prevents the mind from digressing. Examine the sense of body identification as you breath in and breath out, how it moves. The body identification is strong when you breath in and very weak when you breath out. Just notice it. Body consciousness is there when you breath in but it is not there when you breath out. Body identification is birth and its absence is death. Breathing in is birth, breathing out is death. I am the one who watches birth and death. Birth and death happen, but they do not happen to myself. Nothing ever happens to myself. Birth and death are always together, but they do not belong to me. Slowly disassociate from the breath and just Be. Being is meditation not doing, just Be. Even thinking is doing in a subtle form and you are not doing, just Be. If a thought comes, don't welcome it, don't oppose it, just be indifferent and just Be. Being is the natural state, thought is a super-imposition. Just Be. Being is you, thought not you, you just Be. Don't ask how, just try, just Be. It is the mind which says how or why, drop it, ignore it, just Be. Aum ShantiH ShantiH ShantiH. Relax, sit at ease. Being is the natural state, the state created by thought is unnatural. Slowly open the eyes.
