AUM Shree Ganeshay NamaH. As I pray to Ishwara with devotion and surrender myself, I drop the content of the mind with particular reference to the vasanas of doership of becoming and enjoyership that settles  samsara vasana.  I drop the past, the memory of the past along with it the historicity imposed upon the self and the vasana of the future. I drop all concerns and expectations, that settles kala vasana. I am not a process of time, simply I am. It is tremendously simple, simply I am, I am and I salute the wisdom of the Rishies, Shree Gurubhyo NamaH Sthira sukhamasanam. Sport a smile on the lips and watch the eyes. If you notice any dullness or sleepiness, you can easily get rid of it by opening the eyes wide open and stretching them fully, squeezing them twice and now closing them very lightly, that removes the dullness of  tamoguna.  Sport a smile, pay attention to the mahamudra which signifies that every event in life has blessing of Ishwara in it, dhanyoham,   I am indeed blessed. Visualize, ahead of you, in eastern direction and send a message of peace and love to all the being in that direction. Let them all be happy. Visualize behind, in western direction, again send a message of peace and happiness to all the life forms. Do the same towards the right, the south and to the left, the north. Sarve bhavantu sukhinaH. Look within your heart, there is peace and harmony in the heart. Visualize the immediate family members and realize that Ishwara is in hearts of every one of them. You may specifically remember a member of the family and visualize Ishwara in that person's heart. Do the same thing to the extended family   and friends. There is  Ishwara  in every one of their hearts. Extend it to entire humanity, Ishwara abides in the hearts of every person, known and unknown. Extend the vision to the animals, birds and creatures. There is Ishwara in the hearts of every animal, bird and creature. Remember specificaly two or three adversories or enemies who have wronged you. Keep a smile on the lips and see that Ishwara abides in their hearts. Then visualize  Ishwara abiding in your own heart, Ishavasya idam sarvam, dhanyoham, I am indeed blessed by the vision of Ishwara. Watch the breath, stretch the back and slow down the breath. Don't be in a hurry to breath in and breath out. See whether your mind is always in a hurry. Pranayama negates that kind of vasana, breath in and breath out slowly. There is nothing to hurry about, just breath in and breath out slowly and be aware of the gaps, the silence. Chant Aumkara mentally while exhaling. Inhalation arise from silence and merges into silence, then Aumkara eminates from that silence and again merges into that silence, that is one round. That silence is the turiya. Now add akamoham to the Aum. Aum akamoham, I am desireless. Aum akamoham. Now abhayoham. Aum abhayoham, I am fearless. Aum abhayoham. Stretch the back, keep the smile and now add asangoham, I am unattached. Aum asangoham, Aum asangoham. Finally anandoham, I am peace and harmony. Aum anandoham, Aum anandoham. Last round with simple Aum. Disassociate from the breath. Aum ShantiH ShantiH ShantiH. Relax, sit at ease and relax. Slowly open the eyes.
