AUM Shree Ganeshay NamaH Pray to lord Ganesha with the freshness of the present moment, not based on the earlier prayer or experience. Shree Ganeshay NamaH. See that it is not repetitive or mechanical, it is always fresh. Shree Ganeshay NamaH. Drop from the mind the worldly plans, plans of worldly activities and ideas of worldly enjoyments. In one word, drop from the mind the world itself. Drop the past in the form of historicity of oneself, the historic self, just drop it. Drop the expectations and aspirations of the future and all concerns about the future. I am limited yet no identification, I am limited but rooted in the present moment. This is the beginning of meditation. Salute the saints and sages of the world, Shree Gurubhyo NamaH. Pay attention to the asana, again not as the memory of earlier experience, just the freshness of the present asana, sthira sukhamasanam. Keep the eyes lightly closed, keep the smile on the lips, the inner smile of samattvam, equanimity. The inner smile of harmony. Be aware of the mahamudra. I am receiving the abundant grace of Ishwara,   that is the significance of mahamudra. I am ever blessed by the abundant grace of Ishwara, dhanyoham. Look at the body and feel the aliveness in both the legs, it is not thinking about the legs, just feel the aliveness, you take your time to get the feel of it. Gradually the aliveness deepens. Don't be distracted, feel the aliveness in the stomach, chest. Be cheerful. Feel the aliveness in both hands, in the head, hands and legs simultaneously, the entire body. Go deep. As you feel the aliveness, you notice that the body has form but the aliveness is formless. I am the formless in the form. Slowly come out of the feeling of aliveness, just look at the body as idam,   this body, and watch the breath. Be aware of the sense of touch at the tip of the nostrils. Slowly shift to anulom-vilom. Stretch the back one time, notice the movement of stomach muscles for a while, briefly. See if you have to slow down further to avoid any jerks. Notice the gaps, brief gaps, at the end of inhalation and exhalation. Do it with love and not as a self imposition. Now start saying mentally Aumkara only when you are exhaling, because in Aum the movement of life is upwards. Aum elevates the focus from mundane to the higher reality. Now the last round of Aumkara, but continue anulom-vilom with a prayer, aavatavahi bheshajam, vivatavahi yadrapaH. Bring in good health and vitality as you breath in and as you breath out, throw away ill health, frustration, anger and conflict. Aavatavahi bheshajam, vivatavahi yadrapaH. Last round. Stop watching the breath, watch the eyes and just Be. As you abide as the being free from thoughts, eventually you will gain freedom from thoughts, just Be. Aum ShantiH ShantiH ShantiH. Relax. Slowly open the eyes
