AUM Shree Ganeshay NamaH I prostrate unto Ishwara with devotion and a sense of self surrender and drop from the mind kartuttva, the process of becoming, bhoktruttva, that of enjoying, the past and the future. I am, in doing so, spacelike. Shree Gurubhyo NamaH Sthira sukhamasanam. Always pay attention to the posture for a while. I love the posture as it helps to make the mind stable, helps to bring the inner Being into focus. The posture brings out my changeless aspect into focus. Watch the eyes, see that the eyelids are lightly closing. Sport a smile, mudit vadanam dakshinamurti mide. Be aware of the mahamudra signifying acceptance, non-resistance which helps to recognize Ishwara's krupa, grace in life, dhanyoham. Watch the breath, find out the sense of touch at the tip of the nostrils and watch the breath. Breath is not deep but it is sama. In the event of mind projecting any emotion the breath becomes vishama, oblique, uneven. But now the mind is calm, breath is sama. It works the other way also, as you watch the breath the mind becomes calm. If you notice the mind wandering, you can easily avoid it by making the watch a little more deep, by introducing in and out, mentally say in while inhaling and out while exhaling, for some time. You slowly become familiar with the breath. In-out, in-out. Drop in-out, just watch. Don't become sleepy, remain alert and watch. Now make it slow, exercise your will to make it as slow as you can. Stretch the back, keep a smile. Do not grip the hands or fingers or anything, just remain relaxed and breath in and out slowly. Avoid jerks by slowing. As you breath in the stomach bulges out and as you breath out the stomach is pulled back, just watch it for a while. As I breath in, there is a vitality all through the body, avatavahi bheshajam. As I breath out, all the toxins of the body and of the mind, get thrown out and there is a freshness in the body and also in the mind, vivatavahi yadrapaH. As I breath in, I feel the sense of good health and as I breath out I feel the purity, the freshness of the body and the purity of the mind. Avatavahi bheshajam, vivatavahi yadrapaH. You may now mentally say both, while inhaling and exhaling. Avatavahi bheshajam, vivatavahi yadrapaH. O Vayu, O Ishwara, in the form of Vayu, bring in health and vitality, take away the sense of ill health and mental impurities. Avatavahi bheshajam, vivatavahi yadrapaH. O Vayu deva, bring in vitality and take out impurity. Slow down the breath and pray while inhaling and exhaling. Hey Deva, bring in vitality and take out imputiry. The last round. Stop watching the breath after finishing the last round. Watch teh eyes, keep the back straight, keep the smile. Mind becomes still. Keep the irises in the center, the stillness becomes deep. Watch between the eyebrows by focusing both the eyes between the eyebrows. Avoid distraction of any kind, just focus between the eyebrows. Aum ShantiH ShantiH ShantiH. Relax, sit at ease, massage the legs if necessary. Silence is spacelike, learn to be silent. Slowly open the eyes.
