AUM Be aware of the seat and pray, 'O Prithivi, you are upheld by Ishwara and in turn you uphold me. My prostrations unto you.' Shree Ganeshay NamaH. Shree Gurubhyo NamaH . Sthira sukhamasanam. Be aware of the surroundings and choose not to resist mentally anything of the surroundings. Then again, sthira sukhamasanam. The posture is sthira, in the sense that it brings the Being into focus.I have to discover myself that the Being is ananda, is abhaya, security and is the origin of all. The discovery begins with sama, same. The posture is sama, samam kaya shirogrivam. The breath is sama, pranapanau nasaabhyontara charinau samau, says the blessed lord, and the mind, as I sport a smile, the inner smile, is sama, samoham. Mithya drishti is the gateway to sama drishti, the world is unreal. As I see that I remain sama, samoham, I am sama. See that sama is egoless awareness, egoic awareness is vishama, the oblique. The desires and hatered are focal points of egoity. The mind, deeply attached to the world, cannot practise meditation. Resentment is the major irritant in the mind and hence major obstacle to meditation. With God's grace, I should be able to overcome all vestiges of resentment. Advaishta sarva bhutanam, says the blessed lord. I look at myself, I wish to be happy, healthy and peaceful. I think of the immediate family members, I expand the consciousness by wishing them to be happy, hale and peaceful. The situations are not important or relevant, I wish them in whatever situations they are, to be happy, healthy and peaceful. Expand to the extended family and the near and dear, include all of them, whatever they may be in their life, I wish them all to be happy, healthy and peaceful. Expand to include the entire humanity, all people known and unknown, known and inknown as individuals, known and unknown as social groups, include, pick up and include, don't leave anybody or any group, include, include even if the mind resists, overcome the mental resistance and include, I wish them all, without any exception whatsoever, to be happy, healthy and peaceful. Expand to include all the animals, creatures, birds and all flora, I wish them all, I wish all living beings, to be happy, healthy and peaceful. Samas sarveshu bhutheshu, says the blessed lord. Now I recollect one or two people or even three or four, in particular specifically whom I tend to resent, I see that I have resentment, I cannot decieve myself. Now I wish them to be happy, really happy, healthy and peaceful. Rama Rama Rama Rama. I wish these people who wronged me, to be happy, to live in peace. Rama Rama Rama Rama Rama Rama Rama Rama Rama. Aum ShantiH ShantiH ShantiH. Relax, sit at ease and relax, continue the chant while relaxing, Rama Rama Rama Rama Rama Slowly open the eyes.
