  1. 1. Where has the प्रातिपदिकम् ‘वायु’ been used in Chapter Eleven of the गीता?
Answer: The प्रातिपदिकम् ‘वायु’ has been used in the following verse:
    वायुर्यमोऽग्निर्वरुणः शशाङ्कः प्रजापतिस्त्वं प्रपितामहश्च |

    The विवक्षा in वायु: is प्रथमा-एकवचनम्।

    2. Where has the सूत्रम् 6-4-51 णेरनिटि been used in the verses?
    Answer: The सूत्रम् 6-4-51 णेरनिटि has been used in the form वाच्यमानः (प्रातिपदिकम् ‘वाच्यमान’, पुंलिङ्गे प्रथमा-एकवचनम्)।

    The प्रातिपदिकम् ‘वाच्यमान’ is a passive form (कर्मणि प्रयोग:) derived from the causative form of the verbal root √वच् (अदादि-गणः, वचँ परिभाषणे, धातु-पाठः # २. ५८).

By 7-2-116 अत उपधायाः।
    ‘वाचि’ gets the धातु-सञ्ज्ञा by 3-1-32 सनाद्यन्ता धातवः।

By 3-2-123 वर्तमाने लट्।

By 6-4-51 णेरनिटि – The affix ‘णि’ is elided when followed by a आर्धधातुकम् affix which does not have the augment ‘इट्’।
    ‘वाच्यमान’ gets the प्रातिपदिक-सञ्ज्ञा by 1-2-46 कृत्तद्धितसमासाश्च।

    3. Why is उत्क्रमता a आर्ष-प्रयोग:?
Answer: The grammatically correct form is

    The प्रातिपदिकम् ‘उत्क्रामत्’ is derived from the verbal root √क्रम् (क्रमुँ पादविक्षेपे १. ५४५) preceded by the उपसर्गः ‘उद्’।

By 3-2-123 वर्तमाने लट्।

Note: In the form उत्क्रमता, 7-3-76 has not been honored.
By 6-1-97 अतो गुणे।
By 8-4-55 खरि च।
    ‘उत्क्रामत्’ gets the प्रातिपदिक-सञ्ज्ञा by 1-2-46 कृत्तद्धितसमासाश्च।

    Easy questions:

    1. Which सूत्रम् prescribes the elision of the affix शप् in ब्रूते?
    Answer: The सूत्रम् 2-4-72 अदिप्रभृतिभ्यः शपः prescribes the लुक् elision of the affix ‘शप्’ in the form ब्रूते derived from the verbal root √ब्रू (ब्रूञ् व्यक्तायां वाचि, धातु-पाठः #२.

By 3-2-123 वर्तमाने लट्।

By 3-1-68 कर्तरि शप्‌।

Note: Since the सार्वधातुकम् affix ‘ते’ is अपित्, by 1-2-4 सार्वधातुकमपित् it behaves ङिद्वत् – as if it has the letter ‘ङ्’ as a इत्। This allows 1-1-5 क्क्ङिति च to prevent 7-3-84 सार्वधातुकार्धधातुकयोः from applying.

    2. Can you spot the affix ‘उ’ in the commentary?
    Answer: The affix ‘उ’ is seen in the form करोति derived from √कृ (डुकृञ् करणे, तनादि-गणः, धातु-पाठः #८. १०).

Please see answer to question 5 in the following comment for derivation of the form
