A quick look into the dhatu patha in the context of कथादि गण within the 10th gana where the penultmate short अ does not get vrddhi – used Ganakaastadhyayi to introduce this. Gave an outline of how to choose a rule that applies when there is a possibility of more than one rule applying because all conditions are met. In this context the पूर्वत्र असिद्धम् rule along with the differences between the final त्रिपादी and the initial सपाद-सप्ताध्यायी parts was introduced.
